Faststream’s US operations continue to grow rapidly with the opening of two new offices in Massachusetts and Houston this November.

Faststream Houston opened for business on Monday 10 November, headed up by Craig Johnson, and has a strong focus on the oil and gas sector. The Houston region is home to over 3000 energy related establishments.

Craig Johnson said:

“This is an exciting new chapter in Faststream’s development. Our challenge will be to enhance our presence across the energy chain. Our clients already include many of the world’s largest oil operators, ultra-deepwater subsea and drilling contractors, engineering firms, oil service companies and classification societies. We look forward to helping them fulfil all their specialist candidate needs.”

Faststream has also established a brand new office in Massachusetts which focuses on both the US power generation and maritime markets. Headed by former Massachusetts Maritime Academy Training Director Heather Twiss, the latest addition to Faststream global network brings the total number of Faststream offices globally to seven.

Commenting on prospects for the Massachusetts office, Heather Twiss said:

“With projected increases in electricity demand, construction of new nuclear power plants, retrofits and 30% of the American nuclear workforce heading for retirement, there are many opportunities for candidates in the US power sector. Continued losses of technical knowledge and specialized skill sets are making staffing increasingly challenging. This situation creates large growth areas for Faststream and it’s very exciting."

She added:

“We are also active in all areas of the maritime industry and will be placing candidates in both seafaring and commercial roles at a variety of levels.”
