The company

The role

As a Technical Superintendant you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of typically 3- 5 vessels. This will include compliance with statutory and industry recommended rules and regulations.

In this role you will report to the Fleet Manager and the General Manager and you will be responsible for the shipboard management of assigned vessels as well as dealing with
• Ship staff in connection with briefing visit, selection and screening.
• Other internal and external support functions
• Owner, class society, insurance handlers and other external bodies

The person

• Technical/maritime qualifications, preferably with seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or Master.
or
• Degree in naval architecture or marine engineering with relevant office experience.
• Good command of oral and written English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Environmental focused
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills in order to develop close relationships with shipboard staff, vessel owners, charterers as well as internal and external support functions.
